GREECE & ROME HISTORY FAIR :: On this page you will find photos, links, websites and general help for your Greece/Rome Projects.
The civilizations of Greece and Rome have influenced Western society, including the United States, more profoundly than perhaps any other culture in world history. For this unit, we will create a 6th Grade Greek & Roman History Fair. At which, each of you will have the opportunity to dress in Greek or Roman clothes, eat foods of these cultures and explain your chosen aspects of their civilizations. You will choose 2 aspects from either the Roman or Greek civilization and compare them to the U.S. today. This project will be prepared in a written report (WORTH 100 POINTS) and visual presentation (WORTH 100 POINTS).
How To Create Your Greek/Rome Project:
STEP 1: Choose whether you are Roman or Greek.
STEP 2: Choose TWO aspects from one of these cultures that you are interested in. (i.e. architecture, art, government, theater, military, philosophy, leaders, etc.)
STEP 3: From these aspects, choose TWO examples that explain each of them. (i.e. Greek military = Athen's navy and Sparta's army)
STEP 4: Research these aspects using your book (look at the last chapter), your notes and the links below. If using the links below, be sure to create a bibliography page with the links you utilized.
STEP 5: You will create a research paper explaining these aspects by following the outline below.
Papers due on Friday, Jan. 9th.
